A good introduction to Soria wines in the Ribera del Duero appellation.
You can feel the old vines grown at high altitude, in a cold climate, in this red wine that avoided the devastating frosts of 2017.
Good concentration and depth for a wine of this category.
Black fruit, spices and distinct earthy notes, followed by a balanced palate with depth and well-integrated oak.
Production : Traditional production with 100% destemmed grapes, with fermentation at moderate temperature (24ºC) to preserve varietal aromas. 50% of the freshly finished wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in American oak barrels. It is aged for 5 months in new American oak (15%) and one year (85%).
Visual : Grenat with violet edge.
Nose : Very intense, with notes of red and black, fresh and wild fruits (raspberry and blackberry) combined with subtle balsamic and pastry (vanilla) notes, very attractive and seductive.
Mouth : Balanced and round, with smooth and well-integrated tannins, with a spicy flavor and fresh red fruits.
Side dishes: Charcuterie, cheeses, grilled meats and fish stews.
