Bellini was created at Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy and has become the iconic drink of the city and the rest of the country. A blend of white peach nectar and Prosecco (an Italian sparkling wine), the cocktail was created in 1948 and is named after the Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini. Among its famous connoisseurs are Charles Chaplin, Orson Welles, Ernest Hemingway, Arturo Toscanini, Winston Churchill, Somerset Maugham, Marcello Mastroianni, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Truman Capote and Pablo Picasso.
