Notes of candied fruit, cherry, currant, black plum and good barrel that releases other discreet notes of caramel, praline and smoke.
A robust wine supported by a solid structure and a certain juiciness of the fruit, fleshy and textured. A long and powerful finish, clearly exposing its complexity.
VITICULTURE
The vineyards are located in the Silgueiros sub-region between 350 and 400 meters in altitude.
The variety is recognized for being glabrous (hairless), between short knots and a bright light green tone.
The vineyard is managed within an integrated protection program, with the application of herbicides being prohibited.
The harvest is manual, when they reach the optimum maturation point, situated in the 2nd fortnight of September and the 1st of October. The harvest is done in small boxes of 10 kg.
VINIFICATION
These wines are obtained after fermentation at controlled temperature in order to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel vats for 7 to 10 days.
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and subsequent aging for 15 months in order to enhance its structure and complexity.
