FENCING – In 1917, fencing began at SL Benfica, with the creation of a weapons room at the Avenida Gomes Pereira headquarters. However, the sport was extinguished, leaving only the precision, art and attack/defense technique, essential in a club with great achievements. Touché!
To remember those times, Garrafeira do SL Benfica presents this Coop wine. Winery from Pico Island whose vineyards are surrounded by the Atlantic and volcanic basalt, offering unique grape varieties – Verdelho, Arinto dos Açores and Terrantez – that you won't find anywhere else in the world.
Salinity, freshness or acidity are some of the characteristics that make up Azores wines, offered by the constant contact with the black stone, the sea breeze and an Atlantic climate.
This Garrafeira SLB 75 has an appealing aroma with discreet notes of fresh tropical fruits, complexed with slight nuances of the vats where it fermented and aged and a pleasant volcanic sulfur.
In the mouth it has a refreshing acidity and minerality.
Very engaging and persistent volume.
Saline finish.
