Concentrated, mature and powerful wines with good balanced acidity.
Seña was created as a joint venture between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi in 1995, with the dream of making a wine that showed the full potential of Chile, a wine that would be welcomed, in time, among the first "Grand Cru" in the world.
Modeled in the style of Bordeaux, it would have a Chilean soul given by its Carmenere variety, cultivated under principles of biodynamic agriculture in the Aconcagua Valley.
With a deep ruby color, the Seña 2007 presents a nose rich in ripe fruits such as strawberries, plums and blackcurrants, together with a touch of black pepper and sweet spices that add complexity to the blend.
The palate shows fine, firm tannins and complex aromas of fruit, oak, spices, thyme, bay leaf, fleshy notes and a bit of tobacco that blend harmoniously and linger on the long finish.
It is a wine with lively acidity and great tannic structure that will certainly gain complexity and elegance with time in the bottle.
