Ample and intense wine, Rocas de Seña 2020 exudes seductive balance and finesse.
Fresh aromas are revealed throughout the tasting and weave a spicy and persistent finish.
Located in the Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago, Chile, Seña is one of South America's iconic grands crus. This exceptional wine is the result of collaboration, since 1995, between Eduardo Chadwick, one of the most emblematic ambassadors of Chilean wines, and the American Robert Mondavi, recognized as one of the greatest pioneers of New World wines.
Now produced exclusively by the Chadwick family, Seña offers a refined, elegant and balanced expression of the best Chilean terroirs.
Rocas de Seña is composed of a mixture of young vines from the Seña vineyard with Mediterranean varieties (Syrah and Grenache) from another Chadwick family property since 1999. This wine takes its name from the rocky soils, characteristic of the Aconcagua Valley.
2020 is a harvest where warm weather conditions were contrasted by cold winds from the Pacific Ocean. These conditions favor a gradual and homogeneous growth of the vine, exhaling the fruity character of the grapes, as well as an opulent structure, while preserving a beautiful freshness.
Aged for 22 months in barrels (65% new), Rocas de Seña 2020 is made up of a blend of
Malbec (38%), Syrah (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Granache (14%), Petit Verdot (8%).
