Beautiful pale yellow color with green highlights associated with youth.
The nose before the agitation remains discreet but already gives a glimpse of a wine full of freshness.
With the agitation, the sauvignon aromas are exalted. They are classics without much exoticism.
Then come the more floral notes of Semillon. The wood is very well integrated.
When attacking the palate, the wine is voluminous without being excessive, marked by a beautiful tension.
An R that marks your date, long, nervous and delicate at the same time!

VINEYARD LOCATION

Denomination: Bordeaux
The vineyards of the Sauternes appellation are located on the left bank of the Garonne, about 50 km south of Bordeaux.
The natural humidity brought by the river Ciron provides the ideal conditions for the development of Bortrytis Cinerea, also known as noble rot.

Terroir :
The Château Rieussec vineyard extends to the junction of Fargues and Sauternes. Château Rieussec is one of the most important properties in Sauternes and Barsac; its vineyards cover 93 ha of sandy clayey gravel soil.

VINTAGE PRESENTATION
The season started with a mild, dry winter. But between March and May we held our breath 6 times in fear of frost...
The month of June, after a rainy and cold start, was marked by a heat wave in early summer, unlike any seen since 2003.
Fortunately, it was only short lived. In July, the vines are well armed against the drought, as if they had prepared in the spring drought.
The water miracle arrived on July 26th. Perfect for starting maturation. The temperate conditions of August were a blessed bread for our dry whites, which were harvested with superb freshness and aromatic potential preserved from late August until mid-September.

The work of defining parcels exclusively dedicated to dry white wines is bearing fruit. This year our Sémillons are particularly brilliant and the young Sauvignon plots, newly planted, are living up to their promises.
After 2017, a new R that will go remain in history.
