The story told by Atelier Prestige de Foncalieu is the story of a handful of producers who work together to go further in excellence.
In this land of sun, this land in the south of France, they pamper their plots to thrill us: a work of artisans to sublimate the fruit and create concentrated wines, with remarkable freshness and balance.
Michel Cazevieille and Sébastien Roubichou never stop pampering their plots to go even further, always higher.
At 180 meters of altitude, with an exposure to the southeast and sheltered from the wind, the vineyards peacefully withdraw their strength, to offer us this harvest at its peak.
AGEING : aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (70% new barrels, 30% two-wine barrels), with a special selection of fine grains to work on the length and delicacy of the wines.
TASTING : Dense and deep red color. Nose of small, very ripe red and black berries (currant jelly), eucalyptus and garrigue (thyme, rosemary).
A fruity, powerful and structured palate. A long and spicy finish.
AT THE TABLE : to share among connoisseurs, especially with grilled meats (nothing like a piece of Fleur d'Aubrac grilled over a charcoal fire, a duck with tapenade or a leg of lamb with rosemary). Serve at 17°C.
