Wines from Another World chose Spain and in particular the Priorat region of Catalonia for the second wine in its limited series: it is called Uranus and only 500 bottles were produced.
Nine wines are expected to be released, as many as the planets in the solar system, at the rate of one a year. A journey that is known in advance to start and end in Portugal, but which will represent some of the most important wine regions in the world, from Bordeaux to Georgia, passing through Champagne, Tuscany, Napa Valley and Mosel, and ending in the Douro.
Uranus is a young wine, from the 2021 harvest, although it is produced from an old vine, 75 years old, with the majority of the grape variety (85%) being the Cabeluda Black Garnacha, plus 10% the White Garnacha and 5% the Cariñena.
A wine of “extreme quality, with an extraordinary ability to age”.
The refined beauty of this dry red is a wild ride of energy, depth and complexity.
Aromas and flavors that move like a dancer between the nose and the palate.
Intense red, blue fruit, with a consistent velvety texture.
Like Jupiter and Uranus, each wine will come in a luxurious and original box, and will include a code so that collectors can access exclusive information, photographs, videos and a calendar of private events happening around the world.
