Deep red color with intense ruby hues.
Very fruity on the nose, with blackcurrant, strawberry, floral and minty notes coming through, followed by aromas of cassis, graphite and coffee bean.
On the palate, the wine is balanced and pleasant, with texture, and refined tannins. A fruity middle palate leads to an elegant and long aftertaste.
Petit CARO shares the same style as its older brother CARO, combining power and elegance.
The grapes come from selected lots of old vines located in Lujan de Cuyo, on the outskirts of Mendoza, and also in Altamira, further south. Lujan brings together a great diversity of soils, depending on the proximity of the vineyards to the mountains or the Mendoza river; these soils are an alluvial formation composed of layers of clay, rock and gravel.
In Altamira, the vineyard is planted at an altitude of 1000 m, in the old alluvial bed of the Tunuyán River.
